DOG DERBY
A new entry this year - and the dogs did not disappoint!
Food and toys were placed on a narrowing lane that was about 50 or so feet long. One person held the dog while the catcher called them. The dogs did so well - we had to make things harder by lengthening the distance and narrowing the lane.
All had a blast testing out the distance and obstacles along the way.

Hunt Tests
On Friday, the action migrated to Good Go Ing Kennels in Baldwin. This year, a combination of AKC Spaniel and AWSC hunt tests enabled participants to obtain qualifying scores for their dogs. Handlers rotated through upland flushing tests, water retrieving tests, and land retrieving tests.

2022 Roustabout Champions
Sunday morning was devoted to the Roustabout - a favorite competitive hunting event. Two fields were used to divide the competitors into groups of approximately 9 teams. The winners of the two fields competed against each other in the final. Field B was won by team Pat Oldenburg & Stephen Laverack with Rosie, while Field A was won by Kevin Smith & Jon Hattrem with Rye. The gallery had a great time watching the teams work. It came down to the last shot, with Team Kevin & Jon making the move with Rye for the win.
